CT Technologist

We are seeking a CT Technologist, sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. Bonus Options: up to $15,000Employment Type: Full Time Shifts Available: DaysHours: 12-hour - 7:00am to 7:00pmLocation: Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, TXHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits** To perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality, through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or other approved licensing body**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may haveOperate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all timesMonitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedureAssist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain proceduresAccountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate imagesResponsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygieneBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
