This program aims to provide clinical, didactic and mentorship opportunities in hospital medicine to grow the new to practice provider’s knowledge and confidence in their practice.Program focuses include mentor guided clinical practice with focuses on acute care medicine patient management, oncology, cardiology, palliative, consultative medicine and critical care medicine. As well as professional development elements in evidence-based practice, quality and process improvement and high reliability training.Responsibilities:APP fellow will provide medical services consistent with the fellow’s education, training and experience level and will be performed in collaboration with clinical preceptor.APP fellow will complete a quality, performance, or process improvement project and/or research project suitable for publication or presentation.APP fellow will attend all required educational events and seminars that have been incorporated into this program.APP fellow will rotate to multiple roles within hospital to achieve focuses on hematology/oncology, cardiology, consultative medicine, and critical care.APP fellow will participate in structured evaluations regarding progress such as but not limited to case study presentations, preceptor and program director performance evaluations, and demonstration.0-2 years of experienceMaster's Degree - Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care certification or PhysicianNew Jersey license for Advanced Nurse Practitioner & Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant*For Nurse practitioners, must be acute care certified; PA NCCPAAHA BLS & ACLS certificationsEligibility for DEA and CDS certificates.Application requirements, which must be attached when you apply:Two letters of recommendation from (1) academic from a faculty member (2) professional/clinical from a preceptor or clinical supervisor.Unofficial transcript from graduate APP program.Essay format answers to the following prompts:Describe your journey to becoming a NP or PA, what made you choose this career path?Describe why you are seeking a hospital medicine fellowship after finishing your post-graduate program and what you are hoping to achieve through this program?
