If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please click the submit button and follow for next steps.As a WCC Volunteer and Administrative Manager, employee will work with the Pittsburgh AreaProgram Manager in support of all aspects of the Pittsburgh area daily operations, program deliveryand implementation, including planning, scheduling, documentation and data entry, supporting thetraining of dogs and Veterans, internal and external communications, volunteer supervision,recruiting and onboarding, as well as assisting with strategic initiatives, community outreach, anddevelopment support as needed. The Employee is expected to work collaboratively and perform allduties and responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.Duties and ResponsibilitiesA. Program Coordination:• Support all aspects of program delivery and implementation for all existing and newprograms operated through the WCC Pittsburgh site location, including all necessaryplanning, scheduling, data entry/documentation, recordkeeping, communications, andvolunteer supervision.• Maintain regular communication with WCC leadership, volunteers, clinical site staff,Pittsburgh area representatives, Duquesne University representatives, and otherstakeholders.• Analyze potential opportunities for program expansion, make recommendations to WCCleadership, facilitate new relationships, cultivate existing relationships, and executeapproved plans.• Work with leadership to ensure program efficacy, quality, and consistency. Communicateprogram information, maintain accurate records, and report on Key Performance Indicatorsas requested.• Identify opportunities for program, administrative, and operational improvements,recommend appropriate modifications and document best practices.• Work collaboratively with WCCâs Development and Communications team and assist theDirector of Development to support and enhance fundraising, outreach, and communityactivities in the Pittsburgh area.• Help organize WCCâs semi-annual celebrations and other community events as needed.• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new volunteers.• Create schedules and program assignments that meet staff and organizaƟonal needs,ensuring program efficacy, professional development, job saƟsfacƟon, and achievement ofKPI goals.• Ensure compliance and establish policies with community partners.• Network, with all community partners to increase referral base and develop collaboraƟveworking relaƟonships.• Share in represenƟng WCC at Duquesne and Team Foster events, arranging for Service Dogsin Training (SDiTs) and or Puppy Raiser (PR) to be present.B. General:• Maintain a clean, safe environment for the dogs and humans at the program site.• Comply with or exceed Assistance Dog InternaƟonal standards and ethics.• ParƟcipate in staff meeƟngs, professional development and community awareness acƟviƟes.• ParƟcipate in programs, training, and supervision as required by WCC or the hostfacility rules.• Maintain detailed records, enter data, and complete required forms and reports in aƟmely manner and enter all relevant informaƟon in Salesforce.• IdenƟfy, locate, or create SOP documents for operaƟonal tasks relevant to remote sites.Update the onboarding documents with viable links.C. Mission Based Trauma Recovery:• Communicate regularly with the Assistant Director of MBTR, Director of Service DogTraining Programs and other WCC leaders, including the ExecuƟve Director, regardingprogram execuƟon, potenƟal improvements, opportuniƟes, challenges, quesƟons andother topics related to WCC programming.• Coordinate with any PiÆ©sburgh Area Program Liaisons and host facility point of contacts (ifapplicable) to ensure compliance with HIPAA, paƟent goals, research guidelines, medicalrecord requirements, facility regulaƟons and shared program goals.• Groom and care for dogs in accordance with Assistance Dogs InternaƟonal andWCC standards and best pracƟces.• Coordinate with Puppy Raisers to idenƟfy dogs needed for MBTR sessions andarrange transportaƟon and on-site support.• Assist in onboarding new Puppy Raisers and Puppy SiÆ©ers, includingcommunicaƟon, training schedules, and adding them to GroupMe and email lists.D. Canine Health and Puppy Parent CommunicaƟons:• Ensure that rouƟne evaluaƟons of service dogs-in-training are completed andrecommendaƟons for appropriate placement are communicated to Director of ServiceDog Training Program.• Maintain and monitor supplies and equipment for service dogs-in-training and informdesignated supply coordinator, when addiƟonal supplies and equipment need to beordered. Maintain an inventory of equipment (collars, harnesses, crates, vests, etc.).• Communicate any emergency canine health problems directly to the Director ofDog Programs and Director of Service Dog Training Program as soon as they areidenƟfied.• Ensure WCC dogs-in-training receive monthly flea, Ɵck and heartworm preventaƟves andany other medicaƟons prescribed by a veterinary care provider or Director for DogPrograms and prepare and distribute monthly preventaƟve medicaƟons.• Transport program dogs, as directed, to receive veterinary care and provide supportfor exams such as eye and cardiac checks.• Assist in coordinaƟng Puppy Parent and volunteer classes in accordance with the scheduleand according to the WCC training manual.• Communicate with Puppy Parents regarding schedules, proper handling and care of thedogs, and ensure they complete and submit monthly reports.• Communicate with Puppy Parents and WCC Directors regarding problem behaviorsand training progress.• Enter data and complete required forms and reports in a Ɵmely manner.• Manage Puppy schedules, including changes and ensuring siÆ©ers have the proper equipmentand supplies.• Track vaccinaƟon needs and communicate with Puppy Raisers about appointments.• Keep aÆ©endance for Puppy Raiser and Puppy SiÆ©er classes and follow up with volunteers whoare missing required sessions.• Create schedules for exclusive Puppy SiÆ©er classes.• Contribute to the weekly email update with training sessions, MBTR sessions, wags andwelcomes, and reminders.E. Other• Periodically represent WCC at donor and partnerâs collaboraƟon events, parƟcipate inpresentaƟons to highlight WCC's mission.• Represent WCC in a professional manner, build and maintain posiƟve relaƟonships withcoworkers as well as individuals, community groups, government representaƟves,contractors, volunteers, and organizaƟons that support WCC and/or wounded Warriorsand their families.• Maintain valid driverâs license and reliable transportaƟon.• Other tasks consistent with the above, as assigned.Required Experience, Skills, Background• Bachelorâs degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field;equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.• Minimum of 3â“5 years of experience in volunteer management, community engagement, orprogram coordination, preferably within a nonprofit or human services setting.• Demonstrated experience recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers; ability to fosterengagement and build community among diverse groups.• Proven administrative and organizational skills, including recordkeeping, scheduling, andmanaging multiple priorities with attention to detail.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the organizationpositively to volunteers, community partners, and the public.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a mission-driven team.• Commitment to Warrior Canine Connectionâs mission of serving Service Members and Veteransthrough the Mission Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) model.• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support events or volunteer activities.• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic file sharing applications.• Valid driverâs license and reliable transportation for local travel between program sites andcommunity events.Desired Experience, Skills, Background• Experience working with or supporting Service Members, Veterans, or military families.• Public speaking experience.• Experience with Customer RelaƟonship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce.• Familiarity with animal-assisted therapy, service dog training, or other canine-relatedprograms.• Background in trauma-informed care or mission-based recovery models.• Experience coordinating volunteers across multiple sites or in partnership with communityorganizations.• Knowledge of nonprofit operations, community outreach, or event coordination.• Skill in developing volunteer recognition and retention strategies.• Experience tracking volunteer data, metrics, and impact pensation:• The Employee will be paid $47,000-52,000/year.• Payments will be made according to the established payroll schedule, minus normal statutorydeducƟons.• The Employeeâs performance will be reviewed on an annual basis or as otherwise determinedby WCC management.Benefits:• WCC provides a health insurance plan for qualified full-time employees as a partially paidbenefit. You will be eligible to enroll in the health plan on the first day of the first full monthfollowing your start date. You may elect to add certain family members to this plan at anadditional expense. The plan is currently offered through United Healthcare.• WCC also offers a retirement plan, and you will be eligible to participate in that plan after 90days of employment. If you do not opt out of the retirement plan you are automaticallyenrolled at a 3% contribution.• Details regarding the health and retirement plans are provided in the Employee Handbookand the applicable program materials.• Benefits may be added or changed in the future at WCCâs discretion.Paid Time Off and Holidays:• The Employee will be entitled to a total of 15 days of Paid Time Off (combined vacationand sick leave) each year.• The Employee is entitled to paid time off for Federal Holidays, in accordance with policiesin the WCC Employment Handbook.• The Employee will be eligible to take PTO after the first 90 days of employment.
