Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a diligent Accounting Clerk to join our team in Ceres, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position focuses on managing high-volume accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to handling financial data and inquiries. Responsibilities: u2022 Process up to 200 invoices weekly for both accounts receivable and accounts payable with precision and efficiency. u2022 Perform data entry, verification, and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Match purchase orders, invoices, and payment documentation for accounts payable transactions. u2022 Support month-end closing activities by preparing and reviewing AR and AP accounts. u2022 Address inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial transactions. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting practices throughout all processes. u2022 Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and streamline workflows. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable roles. u2022 Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Great Plains is a plus. u2022 Ability to manage high-volume workloads, including processing over 200 invoices weekly. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools. u2022 Solid communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders. u2022 Knowledge of standard accounting practices and compliance requirements.
