Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, reporting, and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients. Based in Kings Park, New York, this role requires a strong understanding of individual and corporate tax regulations. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage the preparation and review of individual and corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. u2022 Oversee annual income tax provisions, ensuring timely and accurate completion. u2022 Provide strategic guidance on tax planning and reporting to minimize liabilities and maximize savings. u2022 Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and other tools to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and oversee related filings. u2022 Conduct thorough reviews of tax documents and calculations to identify discrepancies and opportunities for optimization. u2022 Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide tailored solutions. u2022 Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise clients accordingly. u2022 Train and mentor less experienced staff to build expertise within the team. u2022 Prepare and present detailed reports on tax activities and outcomes to stakeholders. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 7 years of experience in individual and corporate tax management. u2022 Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software and other tax preparation tools. u2022 Active CPA certification is required. u2022 Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. u2022 Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing individual and corporate income tax returns. u2022 Familiarity with sales tax compliance and reporting. u2022 Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client collaboration and team leadership.
