Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of an Accountant/CPA/Analyst to join our team in the retail industry. Based in the Hamptons, New York, this role will primarily involve maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. Responsibilities u2022 Ensure accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and receivable u2022 Conduct regular ledger processes and reconciliations u2022 Assist with the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy u2022 Maintain and update financial records and reports u2022 Prepare and post journal entries as required u2022 Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conduct periodic audits Requirements u2022 Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Staff Accountant Must have a CPA and be able to commute to the Hamptons area u2022 Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management. u2022 Demonstrated experience with Bank Reconciliations. u2022 Proficient in the use and management of General Ledger. u2022 Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries. u2022 Familiarity with the Month End Close process. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting. u2022 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. u2022 Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work independently and also collaborate effectively with a team. u2022 Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
