Description: The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program within SSC provides all the launch processing support functions for the Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the programu2019s two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, clean room operations, satellite processing and support facilities O&M, and safety and environmental services. The Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation, servicing, modifications, repairs, and maintenance of low voltage electronic equipment, fiber and copper cable plant, CCTV, fire detection, and security systems in an industrial or commercial establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations. Summary of Key Duties for this Position: u2022 Diagnose and repair of fire detection, CCTV, and security systems u2022 Perform periodic maintenance u2022 Perform annual equipment inspections u2022 Interface with engineering and procurement departments u2022 Complete work logs and update schedulers u2022 Installation of cable management systems u2022 Installation, termination, labeling, and testing of CAT6 and fiber optic cabling u2022 Troubleshooting and diagnostics Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Basic Qualifications: u2022 You will need experience with a minimum of 3 of the following qualifications: Video Access Control, CCTV, Fire Detection Systems, multi-pin copper and coaxial cable termination, basic soldering, fiber optic termination. u2022 Ability and willingness to perform some travel (up to 10%) u2022 Be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly Desired Skills: u2022 Active TS/SSCI security clearance u2022 Building automation electronic controls u2022 Commercial chiller experience u2022 Familiar with Predictive Maintenance tools (Infrared, vibration analysis, laser alignment) u2022 High attention to detail and results-focused team player who is adaptable to change with demonstrated initiative and accountability Occasional odd shifts, travel, and overtime may be required. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
