Community Living Instructor (DSP / Supported and Independent Living) Locations:San Francisco, San Mateo, and Alameda Counties Job Types:Part-Time and On-Call Compensation: - $21.63/hour - East Bay - $22.17/hour - San Francisco Are you a Direct Support Professional (DSP)passionate about helping people live with independence and dignity? Toolworks is hiring Community Living Instructorsto provide individualized, person-centered support in our Supported Living Services (SLS)and Independent Living Services (ILS)programs. Position Overview As a DSPworking in Supported Living, you'll provide hands-on support and life skills instruction to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You'll empower individuals to build routines, connect with their communities, and live fulfilling lives on their terms. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): - Support with meal preparation, hygiene, budgeting, shopping, and personal care - Accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and local resources - Travel training and safety awareness education - Maintain clean and healthy home environments - Provide respectful, individualized care aligned with each person's SLS goals - Document client progress and report concerns as needed Flexible Schedules Available We offer part-time and on-call DSPshifts across San Francisco, San Mateo, and Alameda County. Available shift types include: - Day shifts - Evening shifts - Overnight (sleeping shifts) - Weekends Our SLSschedules are adaptable and can be customized to fit your availability, making this an ideal opportunity for students, caregivers, or those with other part-time jobs.
