Trust Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Trust Accountant to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on ensuring accurate invoicing, timely client payments, and efficient management of accounts receivable and payable processes. The ideal candidate will excel in data entry, billing, and creating customized spreadsheets tailored to client needs. Experience within music, events, or touring is highly preferred Responsibilities: u2022 Review contracts and booking reports to ensure accurate data entry into the accounting system. u2022 Investigate held checks or wires and coordinate with client teams to resolve missing bookings. u2022 Assist agents and their teams with booking report submissions and related inquiries. u2022 Complete month-end close processes for accounts receivable, including revenue recognition and schedule updates. u2022 Analyze and maintain general ledger accounts related to commissions and accounts receivable on a monthly basis. u2022 Reconcile accounts such as unapplied cash, unclaimed credits, clearing, accruals, and bad debts. u2022 Perform billing adjustments and address questions or discrepancies with accuracy. u2022 Provide training to new agent assistants on trust accounting procedures and booking submissions. u2022 Identify and collect past-due balances while fostering positive client relationships. u2022 Support special projects, company initiatives, and process improvement efforts as needed. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable processes. u2022 Experience with check runs, invoice coding, and invoice processing. u2022 Strong skills in data entry and attention to detail. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet creation and analysis. u2022 Familiarity with QuickBooks and other accounting software. u2022 Ability to manage billing adjustments and resolve discrepancies efficiently. u2022 Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
