Overnight ER/ICU Veterinary TechnicianAre you a certified or licensed veterinary technician with a passion for emergency and critical care? Join Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE) and make a profound impact on our patients and their families in a supportive, innovative environment!As an Overnight Veterinary Technician in our Emergency/ICU department, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of critically ill and emergency patients. Under the supervision of specialists, emergency doctors, and department leads, you will provide essential triage, nursing, and monitoring, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care throughout their stay.Location:Boulder, COCompensation:$25 - $32/hour based on experience+$$4.50 overnight shift differentialSchedule:Full Time ( 2 positions available)Monday - Wednesday 8pm - 8:30amMonday - Thursday 9pm - 7:30amResponsibilities:Patient Care: Triage and manage emergency calls and walk-ins, conduct patient assessments, and provide comprehensive nursing care.Medical Procedures: Perform venipuncture, place catheters, and execute emergency procedures such as airway management and oxygen administration.Laboratory Work: Process and evaluate lab specimens, run CBCs, coagulation tests, and handle urinalysis.Client Communication: Engage with pet owners, provide discharge instructions, and support clients with empathetic communication.General Duties: Maintain and stock ICU/Isolation supplies, ensure a clean and organized work environment, and handle reception tasks as needed.Requirements:Licensing: Must be CVT, LVT, RVT, or PVT certified in Colorado.Experience: Two years in emergency/critical care preferred.Skills: Excellent communication, ability to work independently, strong technical skills in veterinary procedures, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.On-Call Requirement: One shift every 4 weeks after training completion.Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!Perks & Benefits:CE AllowanceUniform AllowancePaid Time OffHoliday = time and a halfEmployee Pet Discount401kMedical/Dental/VisionDisability InsuranceLife InsuranceHSA/FSAAccess to VetBloom for RACE-approved continuing education and trainingPartnership with Purdue Veterinary Technology program, including scholarshipsLicense application and renewal reimbursement for CVTs.Financial support and onsite mentorship for those pursuing VTS certificationAsk us about certification assistanceWhy CASE?Innovative Practice: Work with cutting-edge technology, including CT and MRI studies, in a state-of-the-art, newly expanded facility!Supportive Team: Join a collaborative, compassionate team of veterinary professionals dedicated to making a meaningful impact.Core Values: CASEs core values - Compassion, Collaboration, Respect, and Integrity - guide our care for patients and relationships with clients.At CASE, our Compassion Committee works diligently to ensure each patient experiences a stress-free visit.
