Job Title: Lead Personal Support Worker - Home-Based ServicesLocation: Naperville, IL (Client locations vary, primarily in Will and DuPage Counties)Job Type: Part-Time | Flexible ScheduleCompensation: $27/HourTraining and non-billable time paid at Illinois minimum wageMileage reimbursed at current IRS rateJob Overview:We are currently hiring a Lead Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate, one-on-one care for children and adults with developmental disabilities through the Home-Based Support Services program (DHS). This role requires a high level of responsibility, flexibility, and a concierge approach to care, ensuring each individual receives exceptional support tailored to their needs.Deliver direct care and support in client homes and community settingsImplement and document client goals, objectives, and behavior plansPromote independence through support with daily living activities (ADLs), such as personal care, household tasks, recreational engagement, and community involvementEnsure client safety at all times—clients must never be left unattendedMaintain accurate documentation and data collection each shiftAttend and complete required training, including state-mandated DSP certification within 90 daysCommunicate and collaborate with the client’s support team, family, and Clinical ManagerImmediately report medical issues, behavioral concerns, incidents, and any allegations of abuse or neglectAssist individuals who may exhibit challenging or maladaptive behaviorsSchedule:Flexible, variable scheduleMorning, afternoon, and evening availability requiredWork Locations:Naperville-based officeClient homes throughout Will and DuPage Counties (some clients may be located outside these areas)Community settings and other locations as assigned21 years of age or olderValid driver’s license in good standingAccess to an insured, registered vehicle for transporting clientsAbility to work with both children and adultsStrong communication and documentation skillsDSP Certification (or ability to complete within 90 days)CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health diagnosesExperience working with individuals exhibiting maladaptive behaviorsMust pass local and/or state background checks#INDAD50
