Shag Driver

As ourShag Driver, you will be responsible for moving and maneuvering trailers and containers into position for the package handling operations. Make deliveries or shuttles of product between OTC facilities, via the tractor truck, as needed. This is not an over the road position, this is local travel between buildings.Shift: 4am-12:30pm.Essential Functions:Complies with all OTC company policies and safe driving methodsDemonstrate cognitive abilities, by following directions and routinesIdentifies logical connections, determines sequence of response, and is able to plan / think aheadFlexibility in schedule due to operation needs, weather circumstances and locationOperate both standard and automatic transmission vehiclesGrasp, reach, and maintain control of equipment and accessories associated with assigned tasks such as coupling, uncoupling, and drivingExhibit spatial awarenessAble to communicate using mobile communication devicesMay be necessary to work required extra hours, including weekends, based on business needsMaintains regular and predictable attendanceMay perform any of the above functions at any of the company locationsAbides by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading CompanyMust be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance noticeWork requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractorsHere’s what you need to join the fun:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be at least 18 years old due to insurance and labor law requirementsPass standard DOT physical and drug screen recertificationA valid CDL A license and driving record in accordance with OTC standards is required for operation of company vehiclesAverage reading ability and basic counting and mathematical skillsAbility to communicate and understand English in written or verbal formAbility to work independently and/or as part of a team environmentAbility to respond with flexibility to changing work demandsAbility to perform all required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all vehicleOther Qualifications and Physical Requirements:Ability to walk and/or stand for the duration of the shiftAbility to squat and/or bend frequentlyAbility to reach overhead to 72” with both armsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs frequentlyAbility to Occasionally lift 75 lbsAbility to occasionally push/pull totes and rolling carts with up to 50 lbs of forceAbility to work in elevated work areas up to 28 feet highAbility to occasionally climb stairs and frequently utilize step stools to access assigned work zones and productAll work and no play just isn’t our style.
