Pay Range: $75,000 - $93,000 depending on relevant experience and qualificationsPlease note that this position supervises the Swing Shift, which runs between ten to twelve hours Monday - Friday beginning at 4:00pm MITER Brands™ is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGTI is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country. We are looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our Temecula, CA location. In this role you will be directly responsible for the overall management of the assigned department, including all aspects of current operation to ensure acceptable safety, housekeeping, quality, productivity, employee conduct and performance criteria are achieved and a member of the Temecula leadership team. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present.Why work at MITER Brands?Responsible for assigned department functions and all associated personnel.Responsible to appropriately staff and schedule departmental personnel to ensure production requirements are met while minimizing costs.Responsible for planning departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.Observes and coaches personnel on work related issues.Ensures plant staff (Leads) enforces Company policies and procedures, plant wide safety rules and employee rules of conduct.Responsible for developing people, improving processes, reducing costs, quality monitoring & improvements, superior customer service, and on-time delivery.Incorporates Milgard’s vision and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard philosophy.Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, terminating, disciplining, and coaching employees.Participates in the Leadership Development Program (LDP) for the location.Adhere to safety policies and procedures related to all facets of job.Proper usage of personal protective equipment.Other duties as assigned.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferredMinimum two (2) to three (3) years’ production leadership experiencePrior employee management experience preferredMust be able to function with minimal supervisionRead, write, and understand the English languageSense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independentlyAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesComputer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAttention to detail with strong organizational skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to motivate personnel and ability to work in, and promote, a team environmentAbility to motivate employees to achieve results.
