The Controls Services Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations.DutiesComplete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMSInstall, troubleshoot and repair system components including sensors, actuators, controllers, and networking devicesTroubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without directPerform functional testing and system validationEffectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customerMonitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences areIdentify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems.Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additionalPerform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BASBe proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, andStay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies.Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installationAssume additional responsibilities as needed and approved byQualificationsField experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumaticExperience with Honeywell Niagara/Tridium N4 is preferredUnderstanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electricalAbility to read and understand mechanical and electricalStrong communication, organizational and documentationCompetency in Microsoft Word, Excel, N4 Workbench, AutoCAD, various operatingProven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction.Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware, software andEMCOR Services New York/New Jersey is an equal opportunity employer and will provide reasonable accommodation to those individuals who are unable to be vaccinated consistent with federal, state, and local lawThe salary range for this position is 70K to 100K depending on experience.
