Department: Cardiovascular ICU Stepdown - CVICU StepdownSchedule: Multiple Shifts AvailableFull-Time Days, 7:00 am - 7:00 pmFull-Time Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 amWork Location: UAB St. Vincent's BirminghamBenefits for eligible positions include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and moreCVICU Step-Down is a private 8 bed unitthat specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery. You will see cardiovascular/thoracic patients and families that are post coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), heart catheterization, stent placement, pacer placement, valve replacements, thoracotomies, and many other cardiothoracic surgical proceduresOpen to New Grads!Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.Licensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
