The team ensures that shipments are updated timely, troubleshoots service disruptions, and communicates service delays.Track and trace shipments as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery Participates in the development and use of suitable sales forecasting processes and models.Update shipments with current shipment status to include comprehensive notesCommunicate daily with AIT field offices as well as AIT’s agent/carrier networks to ensure on-time performanceTroubleshoot and resolve service disruptionsMaintain familiarity with conditions that require special services and ensure accurate data entry of these costsAnswer Departmental phone lines and emailsCultivate and foster trusting relationships with AIT’s agent/carrier networksThe wage range for this position is $20.70-$28.60 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experienceA team player who works well with others - being respectful to our teammates is a Core ValueA strong work ethic with an appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy in your roleGrowth mindset - being passionate about your craft, always looking for ways to improve yourself and the company, being open to change and doing things differentlyCustomer service focus - we serve a wide variety of customers, both internal and external, and building relationships is a part of our cultureOther Skills We Hope to See:High School/GED required - Associates degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferredMinimum of 1 year Customer Service or Tracking experience in a freight forwarding environmentPrior experience working with AS400 a plusKnowledge of U.S. geography and airport codes a plusBasic to intermediate PC skills - MS OfficeAbility effectively prioritize and manage time and tasksDetailed OrientedExcellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.Strong Communication skills both verbal and writtenIn addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
