Dewberry is seeking a Director, IT Project Management Office to lead our team of internal delivery project managers and further advance our strategies and business programs within our organization. The Director will be accountable for fostering and maintaining exemplary standards of open communication across all levels of internal stakeholders along with managing a select list of projects. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.Establish PMO role, create center of excellence that aligns with the Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, quality standards and company strategyImplement efficiencies that meet or exceed the financial expectations established at project initiationDevelop and govern program and portfolio management processes, uses of dashboards, templates, keeping aligned with policies and metricsMonitor projects, programs and portfolio to ensure compliance with project policies and standards as well as keeping to schedules, budgets andquality expectationsManage project, program and portfolio deliverables and tasksCoach and mentor team and share knowledge and best practicesHire and manage PMO staff, including project, program and portfolio professionals, in line with project objectivesCoordinate deliverables with project managers, analysts, market leads, et al., while supporting contractors and reporting structureOversee project managers of all projects to make sure delivery of their projects is on time and within budget as well as meeting quality standardsReports to executive team on progress and performance of PMOWorks with executive team to assess and decide on whichproposalshave the highest potential value, impact and strategic alignmentIdentify project, program and portfolio priorities, deal with challenges and communicate project risks and opportunitiesProven record managing teams and projects in our industrySuccessfully manages project deliverables and keeps to timelinesAbility to identify sources of funding and business development opportunitiesExpert knowledge of project andchange management methodologies, techniques and processesAble to manage budget, cost and profitabilityResource management skills and knowledge of toolsHigh-level communication, interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with project managers, teams, vendor and other stakeholdersExperience monitoring and evaluating projects, programs and portfoliosTeach and mentor small and large groupsFlexible, adaptable and resourcefulDemonstrated leadership ability and management of high-performing teamsMinimum of 8 years of project management experience preferredPMP or PJMP certification is highly desired*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
