Description Medical City Weatherford Sterile Processing Tech Seasonal PRN Program runs from Sept 21, 2025 to April 4, 2026 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS u00b7All seasonal employees are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. u00b7Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. u00b7Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. u00b7During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). u00b7Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. u00b7Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy. u00b7Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD) u00b7Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation. u00b7Current employees of Medical City Healthcare and HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program. u00b7Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department. We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team thatu2019s committed to the care and improvement of human life u2013 one surgery at a time. Your responsibilities will include: + Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards + Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care + Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs + Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized + Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries What qualifications you will need: + High School Graduate / GED + (CSPT) Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician, or (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician Medical City Weatherford is a 100+ bed acute-care hospital.
