Job Summary The Senior Project Manager works under the direction of the Director of Strategic Project Management and is responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, control and closure activities for complex projects. The Senior Project Manager performs all functions of project management through execution and transitioning to Operations teams to ensure sustainability of the results. This position is expected to have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, with nationwide travel. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE u2022Define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables that support business needs u2022Create and maintain all project documentation pertinent to the project, including but not limited to, status reports, work plans, presentations, analysis, facilitation events u2022Communicate progress, risks, and escalations appropriately at all levels of the organization, or multiple departments, and businesses u2022Assist Director of Strategic Project Management in resource allotment, and recruitment and alignment of project personnel u2022Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to complete within budget and timeline expectations u2022Provide temporary operational field support as BMET/ISE, Supervisor, or Asset Management u2022Assists Director of Strategic Project Management in establishing standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation u2022Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments CLIENT SERVICES u2022Assist in new business start-up activities including transitioning personnel, inventory, contract oversight, leading to operational status per contract timeline u2022Acts as New Business Implementation subject matter expert u2022Collaborate and build relationships with all stakeholders - including senior executives, sponsors, business owners, and field operations u2022Documents and presents project management results via client facing reports or dashboards u2022Prepares frequent reports and progress updates to Operations u2022Client communications in accordance with annual satisfaction survey protocol u2022Maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders PEOPLE MANAGEMENT u2022Direct management of on-site traveling operational and inventory teams u2022Build project teams (directly and indirectly) and actively coordinate team members to maximize productivity and project velocities u2022Responsible for employee engagement survey action plan u2022Responsible for productivity and staffing that is appropriate to the account(s). u2022Provide recognition for employees when programs are implemented with success Manage disciplinary issues and other employee relations concerns with guidance from Human Resources, Director and Vice President. u2022Complete annual employee performance evaluations, competency assessments, training plans, and merit increases on a timely basis.
