Description Weu2019re looking for a hands-on and strategic Controller to join our growing team in New York. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring financial integrity, and driving process improvements as the company continues to scale. The ideal candidate is both detail-oriented and forward-thinking u2014 someone who can lead a high-performing team, strengthen internal controls, and partner with leadership to guide business decisions. What Youu2019ll Do u2022 Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger management, month-end close, and journal entry review. u2022 Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP. u2022 Manage cost accounting, revenue recognition, and margin analysis to identify opportunities for optimization. u2022 Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. u2022 Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and other external reporting needs. u2022 Lead, mentor, and develop a growing accounting team, fostering collaboration and professional growth. Requirements u2022 A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. u2022 Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards. u2022 CPA certification is highly preferred. u2022 Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite and Cargowise. u2022 Strong skills in journal entry preparation and revenue recognition. u2022 Experience coordinating audits and tax compliance. u2022 Excellent leadership and communication abilities to manage and develop teams effectively.
