Payroll Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Corona, CA. In this role, you will play a key part in managing payroll operations for a diverse workforce across multiple states. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of wage laws, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a Contract-to-long-term opportunity. Responsibilities: u2022 Collaborate with payroll administrators to compile and verify timekeeping records for payroll processing. u2022 Coordinate payroll activities across multiple divisions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. u2022 Process payroll for a mix of union and non-union employees, including both hourly and salaried staff. u2022 Manage electronic timesheets on a weekly basis for approximately 1,200 employees. u2022 Handle multi-state payroll processing, adhering to state-specific regulations including California. u2022 Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and certified payroll requirements. u2022 Utilize Excel and payroll systems to manage imports, analyze data, and generate reports. u2022 Communicate effectively with accounting team members and division representatives to resolve payroll-related issues. u2022 Maintain accurate records of garnishments and other deductions in accordance with legal standards. u2022 Support the overall payroll function to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payroll. u2022 Knowledge of wage laws and prevailing wage regulations. u2022 Familiarity with certified payroll and construction industry practices. u2022 Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Dependable work ethic with a commitment to meeting deadlines. u2022 Previous experience working with union and non-union payroll preferred.
