GENERAL PURPOSE: The Sr. Director, IT Data Technologies, will lead our data technology portfolio, inclusive of business intelligence and analytics platform management. This role will be a hybrid work model located in our corporate office in Dublin, CA &, and will report to the GVP, IT Enterprise Data Technology. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader for the direction of Ross' data & analytics solution strategy & roadmap. The candidate should have a proven track record in selecting & implementing modern cloud analytics capabilities with a focus on business value & efficiency. They will bring a well-rounded leadership perspective, capable of building, guiding, and inspiring a growing team of data platform engineering & analytics professionals. They will have experience in migrating from on-premises EDW appliances and platforms to cloud-based lake-house architectures & platforms. They will have a strategic mind and operate as a leader who influences IT and business strategy. The resource will own all data & analytics platforms & tools, including Snowflake, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Alation, and other front-end tools. They will be responsible for the entire data estate, including the data lake, data warehouse, and data platforms. The right resource will lead the team in exploring new solutions, including data science & ML, solving complex technical issues, identifying efficiencies, and building proof of concepts as required. The base salary range for this role is $152,200 - $286,450. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Sets the mission and vision of the Data Technologies organization to foster a customer-centric culture and mindset driven by a future state data vision for the company and adding business value. u2022 Be a trusted advisor, that builds and maintains relationships with other technical leaders and business executives to develop a keen understanding of business needs; ensures efficient delivery of IT services to meet those needs. u2022 Build & manage a multi-year roadmap to modernize data & analytics platforms and enable new, strategic business capabilities. u2022 Help evolve the data technology organization to adopt Agile methods & DevOps u2022 Determine the future skills needed in the data technologies space and build a team to realize that future. COMPETENCIES: People u2022 Building Effect Teams u2022 Developing Talent u2022 Collaboration Self u2022 Leading by Example u2022 Communicates Effectively u2022 Ensures Accountability and Execution u2022 Manages Conflict Business u2022 Business Acumen u2022 Plans, Aligns and Prioritizes u2022 Organizational Agility With particular emphasis on the following specific position-related competencies: u2022 Motivating Others u2022 Decision Quality u2022 Technical Acumen u2022 Building Relationships QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: u2022 At least 15 years of relevant technical experience, including 10+ years in a leadership role, 5-10 years working in IT Data & Analytics progressive gaining leadership responsibilities, building diverse teams with collaborative and innovative cultures with deep familiarity in data engineering and analytics, delivering analytics solutions. u2022 2+ years of implementation & production experience with cloud-native data & analytics platforms (Snowflake or equivalent). u2022 Knowledge and expertise with selecting, implementing, modernizing & scaling all aspects of a data & analytics technology ecosystem: BI Analytics & Data Science/ML, Data Governance & self-service catalog, Data Pipelines and Data Lake-House & ETL. u2022 Experience working with Enterprise Architecture to ensure that the Data Technologies portfolio strategy and vision is consistent with the overall strategy and vision for IT. u2022 Knowledge of data modeling & curation for a variety of analytics use cases ranging from historical analysis to intra-day operational, predictive, statistical analysis across the lifecycle (ad-hoc, prototyping, departmental, industrialized) u2022 Track record for leading multi-year, cross-functional & transformational IT initiatives including moving platforms to the cloud, implementing analytics tooling. u2022 Track record for leading, growing & maturing a team of data & analytics professionals. Experience with org u2022 Success in using standard delivery methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile. u2022 Ability to adapt to a fast-moving technology landscape and keep pace with the latest thinking and new technologies. u2022 Demonstrable ability to formulate a high-level strategy, then convert it into a tactical plan and execute on that plan. u2022
