As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance department in maintaining accurate and efficient financial operations in Denver ColoradoPay:$20.00- $25.00 an hourPosition Summary:The Accounting Clerk will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day financial functions of the business, with responsibilities spanning across Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Collections, Billing, and Data Entry and Account Management. This position requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work comfortably across multiple online platforms and accounting systems.This role presents a valuable opportunity for individuals seeking to build foundational knowledge in accounting systems and processes within the waste and recycling industry. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of financial operations, positioning them for future advancement into pipeline accounting roles.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable (AR):Process and apply customer payments accuratelyMonitor aging reports and assist with collection effortsCommunicate with clients regarding outstanding balancesAccounts Payable (AP):Review, code, and enter vendor invoicesAssist with payment processing and reconciliationMaintain vendor records and resolve discrepanciesCollections:Conduct follow-ups on overdue accountsDocument collection activities and escalate as appropriateCollaborate with AR team to improve cash flow metricsBilling:Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely mannerEnsure billing accuracy and resolve discrepanciesCoordinate with internal departments to support billing inquiriesData Entry & Systems Management:Enter and maintain financial data across multiple systemsEnsure accuracy and consistency of recordsSupport reporting and analysis using Excel and other toolsQualifications & SkillsIdeal minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or clerical finance rolesDegree required for advancementProficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and data functions)Ability to work across multiple online applications and accounting systemsExperience with Salesforce and Route Manager preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective communication and interpersonal abilitiesCapacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesProfessional DevelopmentExposure to the full spectrum of accounting operations within the waste and recycling sectorHands-on experience with industry-specific financial workflows and systemsOpportunity to build transferable skills for future roles within the companyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits packageSupportive and professional work environmentCommitment to employee development and continuous improvementTo be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at .
