Our team is committed to excellence, collaboration, and continuous development in service of Troon's broader business goals.General PurposeThe Regional Accounting Lead oversees accounting operations for a portfolio of managed golf clubs, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and alignment with Troon's internal standards. This role manages a small team, supports strategic initiatives, and serves as a key liaison between the Customer Finance team and field operations.Essential DutiesLead monthly close processes and review deliverables including financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and reconciliations.Supervise and develop a small team of accountants, including training and performance management.Ensure compliance with GAAP and Troon's internal controls and standard operating procedures.Support annual external audits and conduct internal audit fieldwork as needed.Assist operations teams with annual budgets and periodic forecasts.Analyze financial performance and identify significant variances from budgeted results.Attend finance committee meetings and present financial insights as needed.Collaborate with operations leaders to align financial priorities with business goals.Lead accounting transitions for new properties and ensure smooth integration.Coordinate with other departments on accounting matters and policy adherence.Conduct periodic site visits to managed golf clubs.Core CompetenciesLeadership: Manages and develops a small team; provides coaching and oversight.Advanced Accounting Knowledge: Applies deep understanding of GAAP and internal controls.Strategic Awareness: Understands how business goals influence accounting priorities.Analytical Thinking: Identifies and resolves complex issues with minimal oversight.Process Expertise: Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of departmental policies and workflows.Collaboration: Builds strong relationships with cross-functional teams and field munication: Clearly conveys financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred.4-7 years of progressive accounting experience.Prior experience managing or mentoring staff strongly preferred.Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.Experience with Jonas Club Management software a plus.Familiarity with audit, tax, or compliance processes preferred.TravelApproximately 10%This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an associate in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.
