Position Summary:The Interior Project Design Manager works closely with the entirety of the Design Team to support and execute every scope of work offered to clients. They use their years of experience and expertise to understand our team and our clients, to help achieve hospitality design success.Essential Duties:Departmental and Client Responsibilities Report to the VP of RF DesignStudioResponsible for keeping the VP fully informed of decisions, deadlines, problems and solutions regarding all aspects of the projectAttend, Lead and participate in design meetings and presentations including the taking of notes and minutes (including assembling and dispersing them in a timely manner)Coordinate, attend and guide design workshops as requiredDevelop concept design to meet owner's requirementsLead and coordinate a team of Design Managers, Design Specialist and AssistantsGuide and prepare design analysis, research and preliminary design studiesOversee the preparation of design presentations for approvalOversee the production of design intent documents and design drawings through all phasesOversee the design and manage to a given budgetCoordinate with internal and external consultants to integrate requirements and meet overall project objectivesEnsure issued information is accurate and meets client and project team requirementsManage and guide work programming and reporting on project progressUndertake site inspections and surveysEnsure office standards and appropriate levels of quality are met on each phaseProducing consistent work on time, and to a high professional standard Sales and Business Development (BD) Gain proficiency of Troon Design Studio's corporate values, positioning, and brand voiceGain proficiency of overall Troon sales processes and outcomesGain proficiency in proposal and contract generationGain proficiency in Salesforce for use as a tool to manage project, BD and sales effortsSupport Design Team with Salesforce upkeep as neededManage and understand the sales and client billing process to ensure operational accuracy and efficiencyDevelop and maintain client relationships Education/Experience: Experience: Minimum 6-10 years in a Design PM role or equivalent role at a different firmBachelor's Degree from a FIDER accredited Interior Design program preferredHospitality Design experience preferred. Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences Possess excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skillsBring experience working professionally with a diverse range of people, internally and externallyPossess high levels of attention to detailCommitment to excellence, personally and in the work you produceBe able to multi-task and pivot quickly between projects, conversations, and tasksAbility to work to and design to a budgetAbility to schedule your work, and the work of others, and deliver accordinglySpatial problem solving with the ability to prepare alternative design solutions quicklyComputer literate with the ability to learn new programs easily including Revit, Autocad, Inscape, SketchUp, Photoshop and similar programs.Extensive knowledge of FF&E resources and specifications guidelines for commercial terest in and knowledge of the hospitality industryPossess a strong desire to make an immediate impact as well as to make a lasting impression on the company Physical Demands: Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance.
