Hereu2019s What You Need u00b7 Bachelor's Degree Completion of an Occupational Therapy program Required u00b7 1 year experience, adult acute or inpatient rehabilitation strongly preferred u00b7 Adult Inpatient Rehab Experience Strongly Preferred u00b7 Neuro/Trauma Experience Preferred u00b7 OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire Required AND u00b7 BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required What You Will Do Performs age-appropriate patient treatment u00b7 Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment u00b7 Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license u00b7 Performs/delegates technical procedures appropriately and safely u00b7 Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary u00b7 Determines patient response to treatment and evaluates progress (reassessment) u00b7 Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment u00b7 Maintains patient safety throughout treatment u00b7 Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues u00b7 Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs u00b7 Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy Additional perks of being a Texas Health Occupational Therapist u00b7 Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits. u00b7 Delivery of high-quality patient care u00b7 Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). u00b7 A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth Entity Highlights For more than a half-century, Texas Health Hospital Dallas has been at the forefront of health care in North Texas.
