What you will do: In this role you will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of the user interface and user experience across Teradatau2019s digital products and platforms. You will be accountable for ensuring that every user interactionu2014whether through the Teradata Console or other product interfacesu2014reflects excellence, consistency, and the companyu2019s innovation-driven vision. As the Senior Director of User Platforms, you will: + Lead and inspire the Console team and UI Center of Excellence, fostering creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. + Drive the overall UI development strategy, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, brand standards, and user-centric design principles. + Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to define and deliver world-class user experiences that enhance usability, engagement, and satisfaction. + Establish development best practices and scalable frameworks for UI components across platforms. + Apply foundational AI skills to explore and implement ways AI can enhance productivity, innovation, and impact across our workforceu2014leveraging AI to streamline design, accelerate coding, personalize experiences, and improve accessibility. + Champion experimentation with AI-based design tools, intelligent user insights, and automation to advance how Teradata delivers value to customers. The User Platforms organization brings together world-class UI engineers, designers, and product experts to create scalable, high-performance, and intuitive interfaces across our portfolio. This role reports to the SVP, Product Engineering , and works closely with: + Product Management to align technical solutions with customer and business objectives. + Engineering leaders to ensure architectural consistency and performance across platforms. + Design and AI strategy teams to ensure Teradatau2019s interfaces evolve with modern technologies and user expectations. Youu2019ll collaborate with colleagues who share a commitment to leveraging AI responsiblyu2014ensuring our people, customers, and partners benefit from the opportunities AI creates while maintaining trust, transparency, and usability. What makes you a qualified candidate: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. + 15+ years of progressive experience in software development or UI engineering, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. + Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale UI platform development for complex software products. + Demonstrated ability to engage and influence u2018Cu2019 and VP-level stakeholders, translating business goals into technical direction. + Foundational AI skills and the ability to understand how AI can be applied to improve design, development, and user experience outcomes. Pay Rate: 199500.0000 - 249400.0000 - 299300.0000 Annually Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
