Environmental Service Technician

We are seeking a passionate and diligent Environmental Service Technician to join our illustrious team. The primary responsibility of the organizational unit is providing cleaning, sanitizing, and pest control services to over 10 million square feet of campus space. This service is provided through the utilization of over 320 staff members. The overall function of this position is to utilize a standard cleaning assignment to clean and sanitize an area of responsibility within a building. Key responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to: Provide cleaning, sanitizing, and pest control services across 10 million square feet of campus spaceUtilize standard cleaning assignments to sanitize designated areas within buildingsReport discrepancies and respond to emergencies and inclement weatherUse standard housekeeping equipment for tasks including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing suppliesRemove recycling from centralized indoor recycling sitesPeriodically strip and refinish floors, as well as shampoo and extract carpetsPerform periodic pressure washing of entrances, exterior walls, and windowsConduct seasonal window washing as necessaryMust be able to lift 30 lbs frequently and up to 60 lbs occasionally, with or without a reasonable accommodation.Must be able to grasp, push and pull cleaning equipment.Must be able to reach to perform cleaning duties above shoulders.Job requires frequent bending and squatting.Must be able to distinguish between colors.Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and the public.
