As an Research Grants Coordinator, you will Develop grantapplications, grant budget preparation and financialmonitoring/reporting, and subcontract preparation and monitoring whilemaintaining federal and state compliance laws. Areas of oversight willinclude research involving human subjects, laboratory animals,environmental safety issues, and other non-financial compliancerequirements related to sponsored research and grants management.Responsibilities Work closely with Division Administrator, the Grantsand Contracts office, and Principal Investigators, as well as relatedmatrix department relationships to ensure accountability compliance, andaccuracy in grant budgets, grant submissions in eBridge, and performother related duties. Serve as a liaison between faculty, MCWdepartments, centers and external collaborative constituents regardingthe processing of research grants and assist with resolution of pre andpost award issues. Organize/coordinate research activities andcommunications. Lead in the administrative organization, development oftimeline, analysis of required forms and responses of Request forApproval (RFA) and/or proposal call for routine and complex grantmechanisms. Verify grant is in compliance with grant sourcerequirements. Provide assistance and tracking of grant and contractmechanisms, including funding announcement, internal management ofproposals, internal review and awarding functions. Oversee thecollection, analysis, and dissemination of research data and grantproposal development. Develop, implement and maintain comprehensivedatabases and files related to the grant submissions. Maintain programtimeline including tracking deadlines for grant components such assubmission deadlines, funding cycles, timelines for annual reports, etc.Identify problems or obstacles in the system/procedures related toadministration of the funding proposals/funded proposals and communicateto the appropriate faculty/staff. Coordinate meetings and grant trackinginformation for large programmatic or multiple PI grant projects.Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of biology, chemistry,mathematics, documentation, and records management.
