Considerjoining our dynamic team at Phoenix Job Corps Center as an AcademicInstructor. As an Academic Instructor, you can help shape the minds ofpromising young adults ages 16 - 24. You would be responsible forproviding instruction and training to students in the Career EducationCenter, develop individual achievement plans and academic goals toensure student academic achievement in the program, work with the CareerTransition Instructors to infuse applied academics into CareerTransition Training curricula to enhance student learning and success,all while ensuring strict confidentiality of sensitive information andintegrity of student dataPhoenix Job Corps is an education and training center located inbeautiful downtown, providing student-focused programs to ensuresuccessful training and employment placement for each student at PHX JobCorps. The Phoenix Job Corps Center provides students with theopportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), andhands-on training in the various trades like Certified Nurse Assistant,Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Securityand Protective Services, Cement and Masonry, Carpentry, and more.About Adams and AssociatesAdams and Associates is a 100% employee-owned company that isservice-focused and outcome-driven. Our academic and career technicaltraining programs are accredited and lead to nationalindustry-recognized credentials.Job Duties:o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures nomanipulation of student data.o Ensures Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals.o Responsible to provide students with academic training leading toGED/HSD completion and improved literacy and numeracy skills. Providesstudents with comprehensive and individualized case management thatensures student progress, achievement and completion of the Job Corpsprogram.o Ensures classroom is well organized and conducive to student learning.Holds students accountable for following Center's dress code/behavioralstandards of conduct.o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accuratemanner.o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and workproductivity standards.o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goalsand deadlines.o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete allrequired job responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills requiredto perform job duties.o Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as requiredby the PRH.o Provides high-quality supervision and management for the studentpopulation. Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influencesstudent behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds themaccountable for their actions and behavior.o Provides quality programs and services for students and ensures thatquality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement andenhancement of programs and services.o Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in aclear a d concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group effortsby offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timelyinformation to DOL/Company when requested.o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems,analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions.
