Berkley Risk is focused on providing self-insured entities program administration services and insurance operations which can include taking or sharing risk using Berkley paper. This capability allows us to customize both an insurance company option and a purely administrative option for our customers.The League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) is a governmental risk pool served by Berkley Administrators Co., LLC. This role primarily supports LMCIT business. Responsibilities include setting up new policies following contractual rules and regulations, issuing new and renewal policies, issuing policy endorsements, responding to all agent/customer requests, offering renewals to current policy holders, and analyzing incoming correspondence. Responsible for prompt and accurate customer service.Customer ServiceComply with contractual rulesAnswer all types of customer telephone callsAnalyze correspondence to determine action neededPrepare correspondence and do follow up if necessaryPolicy IssuanceReview all new business and renewal policies to confirm the agency assignedSet up new agencies in the computerSet up new and renewal policies in the system Offer renewal to existing policy holdersReview and send invoicesPolicy MaintenanceIssue endorsements based on correspondence, customer/agent requests Update files for agent and member contact changesAccountable ForAccuracy and integrity of data in the computer, on the policy, renewal offer, cancellation, endorsement and all other documents distributed outside or inside the organizationMeeting policy issuance standards for new and renewal policiesMeeting timeliness standards based on individual contract agreements and departmental standardsMeeting team timeliness and quality standardsMay perform other functions as assignedCore RequirementsGood organization and communication skillsMust be detail-oriented Working knowledge of client/server-based policy processing software in a Windows environment helpful Typing ability of at least 45 wpmEducationHigh school diploma or GED and two years office experience or post-high school educationThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third party recruiting agencies or firms.The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees including:• Base Salary Range: $40k - $55k• Benefits include Health, dental, vision, dental, life, disability, wellness, paid time off, 401(k) and profit-sharing plansThe actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
