ABOUT THE POSITIONWe’re actively looking for an Entry Level Waterfront Engineer to join our growing team in New England, ideally located in our Rhode Island office. This position will support the planning, permitting and design of waterfront and coastal infrastructure throughout our footprint. Projects would vary, but include design of marinas, piers, bulkheads, seawall, revetments and marine terminal structures, and living shoreline stabilization.The candidate who fills this position will join a high performing team that provides clients with multi-disciplinary engineering and science-based solutions to coastal management challenges including coastal/waterfront engineering, coastal flood risk, resiliency and adaptation design, and dredged material management. ResponsibilitiesSupport ongoing Waterfront/Coastal projects under the guidance of experienced engineersDevelop plan sets for planning, regulatory review and construction using AutoCADAssist in the design and permitting of waterfront developments such as piers, marinas, and boardwalkAnalyze and support the design of structures for flood and erosion control, including seawalls, bulkheads, and breakwatersContribute to development of living shoreline erosion solutions designsConduct technical analyses and performing basic calculationsAssist in mooring and berthing analyses and design tasksAssist with dredging design and permitting processesSupport in construction contract administration tasks including fieldworkParticipate in site inspections and assisting in the preparation of reportsQualifications:B.S. in Civil, Structural, Waterfront, or Coastal Engineering.
