Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer

Up North Plastics, a division of Poly-America, is currently seeking Entry Level Manufacturing Engineers to join our team. Up North Plastics produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and geomembrane liners. Up North Plastics and Poly-America are also the most technologically advanced and largest recyclers and compounders of polyethylene in the world.***Starting between $20.00-$22.00 per hour depending on experience***Strong computer skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to change priorities quicklyStrong mechanical aptitudeStrong communication skillsCollege degree (associates or bachelors) a plusPrevious manufacturing experience a plusEntry Level Manufacturing Engineers at Up North Plastics cross train in a number of different departments and positions. These employees will train in our production departments, quality lab, re-work department, shipping department, maintenance department, reprocessing department, as well as in our office. Entry Level Manufacturing Engineers will be required to operate production equipment, complete production paperwork, complete reports on the computer, monitor and check product quality,Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Record production downtimeCorrectly complete paperworkMonitor scrap ratesOperate production linesMonitor and check film qualityUse lab equipment to check quality of productsAnalyzing data and forming solutions to issues that may arisePrepare for and assist in auditsAssist in setting up automation equipmentGeneral maintenance on industrial and automation euipmentAssist in training in new employeesAdditional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by managementUp North Plastics offers competitive compensation packages including Medical/Dental, paid vacations and holidays, ESST, and 401(K).
