The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging exams while also assisting with general clinical tasks to support overall patient care.Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality diagnostic X-rays in accordance with provider orders and safety protocolsPrepare and position patients for imaging procedures with attention to comfort and safetyMaintain accurate records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) systemEnsure proper function, cleanliness, and safety of radiology equipmentSupport urgent care clinical team with additional duties such as:Taking vital signsRooming patientsAssisting with procedures or specimen collection as neededFollow all HIPAA, OSHA, and radiation safety guidelinesMaintain radiologic technologist licensure and certificationsCommunicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to ensure seamless careCurrent ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) (required)Iowa Permit to Practice Radiography (required)Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology programCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)Prior experience in urgent care, outpatient, or emergency setting preferredStrong patient service and communication skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to assist in general clinical and administrative tasks when not performing X-rays
