Functions as a member of patient care team. Responsible for duties related to the clerical/operational functions of the nursing unit. Functions as a member of patient care team under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse in providing competent care to patients, according to their individual needs. Performs basic patient care directed at the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current CPR certification. CNA certification preferred Education: High school Diploma or equivalent Experience: Preferably, a minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience.Special Qualifications: Nursing assistant competencyGood organizational and communication skills.Medical terminology and transcription skills.Filing skills.Clear, legible penmanship.Computer knowledgeable.
