Behavior Technician - School Based

Salary: $840 / Week Job Title: School-Based Behavior Technician (Grades 7–12) Contract Type: 13-Week Contract with Strong Likelihood of Extension Location: Monadnock Regional School District Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Full Shift Required) Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Behavior Technician to support students in grades 7 through 12 within a dynamic school environment. This is a 13-week contract position with a strong likelihood of extension based on continued need, as confirmed by the district. Due to union regulations, support staff roles outside of the NECC program (which is already fully staffed) must be offered on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities: + Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of school-based behavior analysts or special education staff. + Support students with a range of needs including behavioral challenges, executive functioning deficits, academic support, and life skills development. + Collect and document behavioral data to monitor student progress. + Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies. + One position will be assigned to a Life Skills classroom, while the other will serve as a floating technician, providing support across classrooms based on staff absences and student needs. Qualifications: + Extensive experience working in school settings or clinics with students/clients who have behavioral and developmental needs is required. + Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and data collection methods. + Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments and student needs. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Must be able to commit to the full scheduled hours: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Contract Details: + Duration: 13 weeks + Extension: Highly likely if the need remains (confirmed by the district) + Union Note: Contracting is limited to non-NECC roles due to union guidelines.
