THE ROLE:The First Shift Senior Maintenance Inventory Coordinator will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Lake Forest, CA. Will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across our maintenance department. You’ll lead strategic inventory planning, optimize procurement processes, and ensure seamless availability of critical parts and tools. Your expertise will directly impact equipment uptime, cost efficiency, and long-term asset reliability in our innovative facility.HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: • Strategic Inventory Oversight: Design and implement inventory control systems to support preventive and reactive maintenance. Lead forecasting efforts to anticipate supply needs and minimize downtime.• Vendor & Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to maximize value and ensure continuity of supply.• Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance, procurement, finance, and operations. Influence decision-making and drive alignment across departments.• Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze inventory trends, usage patterns, and cost data to identify opportunities for improvement. Present actionable insights to leadership.• Technology & Systems: Oversee the use and configuration of inventory management software. Ensure accurate data entry, reporting, and integration with maintenance planning tools.• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of warranties, service histories, and regulatory documentation. Ensure audit readiness and adherence to internal controls.• Mentorship & Guidance: Provide informal leadership and support to maintenance staff. Share best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.• Emergency Preparedness: Develop contingency plans for critical part shortages and support rapid response during equipment failures or urgent repairs.• Special Projects: Lead or contribute to facility-wide initiatives related to asset management, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.•Perform other duties as assigned.WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:The maintenance department is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and efficiency of all equipment, facilities, and systems within an organization. Recognized numerous times as a top workplace in Orange County.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:•Direction of temporary or maintenance personnel during cycle counts or full inventoriesSKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reportingExperience with Oracle systems for procurement workflowsExperienced in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably e- Maintenance, including configuration and optimizationIn-depth understanding of inventory control systems, cycle counting, and reconciliation processesAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for equipment and facility maintenance timeStrategic problem solver with the ability to prioritize tasks, lead multiple projects, and meet deadlinesProven success in vendor management, including negotiation, performance tracking, and relationship buildingExceptional written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organizationStrong interpersonal skills with a track record of building collaborative relationships with internal and external customersAbility to collaborate with engineering, accounting, and production teams to align maintenance and inventory goalsMaintains confidentiality of sensitive company data and proprietary informationFamiliarity with maintenance operations, tools, and equipmentAbility to read blueprints, schematics and parts diagrams.Ability to audit inventory stores, reporting discrepancies and investigating variancesAbility to lift 20 pounds, stand for extended periods of time. May frequently need to kneel, squat or bend.Experience:Minimum 4 years’ experience in a maintenance or industrial environment.Prior experience in Purchasing, and Vendor & Supplier ManagementPrior experience in vendor management, including negotiation, performance tracking, and relationship buildingPrior experience in inventory management/ inventory control and cycle countFamiliarity with maintenance operations, tools, and equipmentPrior experience in reading blueprints, schematics and parts diagrams.Prior experience in auditing inventory, reporting discrepancies and investigating variancesEducation:High School DiplomaPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Assicates DegreeSolid understanding of warehousing operations as it relates to the specific functions of inventory system.Experience working in a cGMP manufacturing facilityExperience working in a warehouse with material handling equipment and conveyancePHYSICAL DEMANDS:In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
