We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services.MOR PPM Inc. is looking for millwrights in Skippers, VA. The Millwrights will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, and written instructions in industrial establishments. Site Specific training/orientation is required before arrival to job. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:--Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment.Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctlyMust workin full compliance with the approved safety regulationsManaging the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtimeIdentifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new partsDismantling older machines and replacing them with new onesOverseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical partsUsing machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical partsAssembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates.Performs any other duties assigned by supervisorPerforms all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.Qualifications:Preferred: 4 years work experience as an industrial millwright or has successfully completed a curriculum closely related to Millwright work from a vocational institution with 2 years’ experience.Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSignMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.#PPMAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
