Labor & Delivery Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience. • 3 months of travel experience is required from any number of months. • Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. • BSN completion preferred Requirements: • Candidates must have a Maryland license or compact license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted. • 12 months between Staff at Program: Aya Program - MedStar Health Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler. Required Skills/Experience: High risk L&D experience Previous Charge Experience. Required Skills: Assist with high risk delivery, Circulate for C-section, High Risk Antepartum, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Circulate, FHM, preceptor and/or charge Preferred Skills: Triage of obstetrical patients Preferred Skills/Experience: Triage Experience Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Types of Patients on Unit: Neonates, Adults Unit/Facility Details: 13 Beds Special Requests: Block Schedules: No Shift & Scheduling: Call required: 24 hrs over a 6 week period. The traveler is required to be on premises 45 minutes after they receive call Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend/holiday as needed Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request 7 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 14 days.
