Job TitleNight Shift - Maintenance SupervisorPrimary LocationCounty WasteClifton Park, NYSalary: $90K - $95K andeligible to earn an annual bonusPosition Responsibilities:Ensures adherence to the corporatesafety program.Fosterscollaborationbetween and among personnel.Ensure adequate training ofmechanics,preventative maintenancemechanics.Ensure location is in compliance with all regulatory agencies and statutes.Ensure proper completion of repair orders by all technicians.Responsible for the control ofinventoryand maintenance of equipment.Trains and assistsMechanicson methods for diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.Schedulesor assigns work toMechanics, PMMechanicsor other Maintenance Shop personnel.Coordinates and/or transports vehicles to outside service for repairs, as needed.Tests vehicles to troubleshoot problems and/or tests repairs to ensure proper and safe completion.Makes emergency road calls to repair municates regularly with the Division Maintenance Manager.Assists in monthlyfinancial projectionsandannual budget.Responsible for maintaining department’s costs withinbudgetKnowledge and Skills:Must haveability to plan,budget, schedule, and supervise multiple projects from concept to completion.Must have excellent working knowledge ofDOT compliancerequirements.Must have ability to motivate staff to meet corp., region, division, and district objectives.Must have excellent organizational, analytical andcommunication skillsand ability to achieve cost effective solutions.Requirements:5+ years mechanic experience with truck, light orheavy equipmentmaintenance and repair. (Wasteindustry experience desired)Ability to train and motivate staff a must.Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic andelectrical systems.Trade or Technical SchoolCertificatepreferred.High School or Equivalent required.Holds or ability to certify forCDLwithin 90 days of start date.Proficiency in vehicle andequipment diagnosisand repair.WasteConnections is an equal opportunity employer.
