Project Planning:Lead large technical teams, including management of staffDefining scope, timelines, and deliverablesAligning project goals with institutional strategiesCoordinating across clinical, technical, and operational teamsManaging risk assessments and mitigation plansThis function is foundational and often consumes the largest share of time, especially during pre-work and configuration phasesStakeholder Engagement and Communication:Facilitating communication between IT, clinicians, Epic, consultants, and leadershipLeading steering committees and advisory councilsPreparing and presenting status reports, decision summaries, and SBARsManaging communication and organizational change alignmentSystem Configuration and Workflow Alignment and Oversight:Customization of Epic modules to meet clinical and operational needsDecision tracking for build options and workflows (e.g., Orion building blocks)Coordination of specialty-specific workflows (e.g., resident attestation, APP supervision)Integration with third-party systemsTraining, Go-Live, and Optimization Support:Overseeing end-user training and readinessSupporting go-live stabilization and KPI tracking (e.g., Gold Stars, MyChart adoption)Lead post-live optimization effortsEnsuring alignment with compliance, legal, and patient experience goalsMarginal or Periodic Functions: Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.Performs related duties as required.
