Job Description About Us: We are starting a new, scholarship-based school dedicated to providing specialized education for neurodivergent children, particularly those with moderate to severe Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our school's first class will initially include up to five kindergarten-aged students (5-7 years old) supported by a collaborative, interdisciplinary team comprised of: u25cf Head Teacher u25cf Assistant Teachers (current open position) u25cf Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) u25cf Occupational Therapist (OT) u25cf Head of School u25cf Clinical Care Coordinator Our school is founded on a commitment to providing individualized, high-quality education and support for neurodivergent children. We are aiming to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment with a 1:1 student-to-adult ratio so that we may best serve our students' individual needs. While we will not be accredited in our first year, we are dedicated to establishing a strong foundation for future accreditation and long-term growth. Position Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated assistant teachers/aides to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a background in early childhood education and special education, though we are open to individuals without formal credentials who possess the right qualities and are willing to learn. Our goal is to create a nurturing and supportive environment that provides individualized treatment and education for our students. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RBT / Teacheru2019s Aide to support students with behavioral, developmental, or learning challenges in a classroom or therapeutic setting. This role combines instructional support with behavior intervention strategies to promote student success. Collect and record data on student behaviors and progress. Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe, supportive learning environment. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure consistent implementation of strategies. Participate in team meetings and training sessions. Experience working with children, especially those with special needs or behavioral challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow structured plans and adapt to changing needs. School or clinic-based setting. May involve physical activity and occasional lifting. Requires patience, empathy, and a team-oriented mindset. ABA-based support (RBT only, no BCBA/masteru2019s requirement) Experience with children and behavioral challenges Crisis prevention and calming techniques Flexibility and humility Fully in-person role with adaptable scheduling
