Job DescriptionNational General Insurance is currently hiring an experience Bodily Injury Telephone Adjuster. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following Pacific time zone states: California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, and possess experience in handling homeowner, commercial, or auto liability claims. Litigation experience may be necessary for this role.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and negotiate claims. Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.Key Responsibilities:u00B7 Handles investigation regarding all aspects of bodily injury claims (coverage, damages, subrogation, litigation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authorityu00B7 Applies intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.u00B7 Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.u00B7 Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.u00B7 Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding of other potential property damage.u00B7 For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome.Supervisory Responsibilities:This job does not have supervisory duties.Below are the preferred qualifications for the Bodily Injury Adjuster position.Experienceu00B7 2 or more years of related experienceCertificates, Licenses, Registrationsu00B7 Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.Functional Skillsu00B7 Customer service orientationu00B7 Strong verbal and written communication skillsu00B7 Strong time management skills from a global case management and pending perspective (vs. transactional)u00B7 Effective problem solving and analytical skills; ability to detect differences and issue recognition from multiple sources.u00B7 Proficient in Word and OutlookCompensationPay Transparency:National General prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary. The base range offered for the role is: $45,000.00--$99,190.00 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge, and experience; among other factors.
