About Us At the Center for Free, Fair, and Accountable Democracy (CFFAD), we help Americans understand and explain the value of democracy and how, together, we can protect and improve the foundations of our republic. Opportunities & Responsibilities This is a great opportunity for you to build your portfolio and gain useful experience! You will create and manage our social media marketing and engagement strategy. The goal is sharply increase our outreach and effectiveness. You will be able to collaborate with our other volunteers: most of our work is inter-related and mutually supporting. Commitment 2-5 hours per week, as your schedule allows. Volunteer duration is open-ended. If you are a student, we would appreciate a minimum commitment of at least 1 semester. Qualifications Problem-solving and creative thinking; Self-starter, works responsively with minimal supervision; Good verbal and written communication skills; Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Familiarity with social media advertising tools including Facebook Boosts and Google Ads Grants. Familiarity with analytical tools such as Google Analytics and MonsterInsights. Strong commitment to non-partisan behavior regardless of your ideology while assisting or representing CFFAD. Willingness to work with and rely upon other volunteers from right and left. Bonus Points B.A. or better in Communications, Digital Marketing, Information Systems, Marketing, Social Media, or similar field; Familiarity researching specific market personas; Experience developing messaging frameworks; Familiarity with pushing press releases to relevant media; Prior experience in organizations providing civic education or adult education; Familiarity with copyright laws as well as IRS and state regulations on non-partisan content.
