What the role is:This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Production and Post Production in the School of Film & Media StudiesWhat you will be working on:A full-time teaching position responsible for delivering high-quality education in production and post-production modules to diploma students and adult learners.Teaching and DevelopmentDevelop and deliver curriculum for production and post-production across diploma and adult learning coursesGuide students in professional video production workflows and techniquesLead practical training in camera operations, lightingTeach industry-standard post-production software and workflowsSupervise student productions from pre-production through deliveryCoordinate with industry partners for real-world project opportunitiesDevelop industry-relevant assessments and contribute to curriculum developmentMentor students in both technical and creative aspects of productionTeach both full-time students and working professionals (flexible hours when required)Support in student development and pastoral careAcademic Admin and committee work which supports the activities in a functional committee assigned by the School, such as timetabling, academic quality, student development, facilities management, overseas programme dustry IntegrationMaintain strong connections with industry partners across digital media sectorsOrganise industry visits and guest speaker sessionsFacilitate industry projects and collaborationsKeep curriculum updated with emerging trends and technologiesWhat we are looking for:QualificationsBachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant professional experienceORDiploma in relevant fieldMinimum 8 years of substantial industry experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating professional workIndustry recognition (awards, notable projects, or industry certifications)Skills, Knowledge and AttributesProfessional camera systems (Sony, RED, ARRI)Lighting design and techniquesPost-production software (Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve)Colour grading and finishingSingle and Multi-camera productionsLive streaming and broadcastProject managementProduction budgetingTechnical documentationKnowledge of current industry standards and emerging technologiesExperience with both studio and location productionsStrong understanding of media workflows and file managementProficiency in both Windows and Mac operating systemsStrong industry networksExcellent communication and mentoring skillsAbout Ngee Ann PolytechnicAt Ngee Ann Polytechnic, our nine academic schools offer over 40 full-time diplomas to a growing student population of more than 15,000.
