Job Title: Substance Abuse ClinicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Clinician to join our team in guiding clients through recovery and helping them build a healthier future. This role involves working under the guidance of a Clinical Director and alongside a collaborative team that values empathy, professionalism, and personal growth.ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.Facilitate group therapy, educational workshops, and daily individual sessions.Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system (KIPU).Collaborate with treatment teams and external agencies such as courts and probation.Provide crisis intervention and advocate for client needs.Educate and support families in the recovery process.Essential SkillsKnowledge of substance use disorders and mental health treatment approaches.Understanding and application of trauma-informed care.Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.Ability to complete progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.Empathy, professionalism, and a non-judgmental attitude.Self-motivation and flexibility to adapt to changing client needs.Conflict resolution skills and crisis management.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.Experience in SUD or mental health settings.Familiarity with CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.Proficiency in electronic medical records; experience with KIPU is a plus.Valid driver’s license; must pass drug screen and TB test.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves frequent contact with clients in recovery, clinical staff, and external service providers. Daily use of electronic medical records (KIPU), email, and other digital tools is required. The environment is supportive, team-oriented, and mission-driven with a focus on trauma-informed care.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Osawatomie, Kansas.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.PTO, sick leave, holiday pay, and health benefitsWorkplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Osawatomie,KS.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Nov 5, 2025.
