Logistics Manager

Job Description Responsible for overseeing and training drivers at the Operating Company in Atlanta, GA to ensure safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. Monitors DOT compliance, coordinates driver tracking, and collaborates with department and organization teams to meet company objectives.Position Responsibilities: Supervises team members, provides training and coaching, manages performance, and resolves issues related to staffing. Assists with scheduling to ensure on-time deliveries. Conducts training and evaluations by riding along with drivers. Supports Transportation/Operations Manager in daily transportation and delivery operations, including payroll calculations, trip log reviews, problem resolution, and compliance monitoring. Enters data into fleet management system. Ensures driver safety by monitoring vehicle operations, equipment usage, safe practices, and adherence to regulations. Participates in safety meetings as needed. Coordinates driver information tracking, including license status, incidents, and safety data. Ensures accurate completion of all delivery paperwork, driver logs, inspections, and other required documentation. Reviews post-trip inspections to maintain fleet vehicles in optimal condition. Works with management to optimize routing and minimize operating expenses. Performs any other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience2-4 years of transportation or related experience, including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along withexperience in operation of computerized fleet management systems Preferred Qualifications Associates/2-year technical - Business management, logistics or related area.4-6 years of transportation experience, including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in the operation of computerized fleet management systems within the foodservice or grocery distribution industry.Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) certified.
