Position Highlights Casual, flexible schedulingwith 12-hour rotating shifts Includesweekends and holidayson a rotating basis Great opportunity to gain experience across a variety of patient care areas What You’ll Do As a Respiratory Therapist at UPMC Cole, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Your responsibilities will include: Evaluating medical orders and interpreting clinical data to guide treatment Operating and adjusting ventilators, oxygen therapy systems, and aerosol delivery devices Monitoring patient responses and performing diagnostic tests Assisting with emergency situations and transporting ventilated patients Educating patients and mentoring students or new staff Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring equipment safety Why UPMC Cole? ORif you're a student with atemporary license, you can start workingwith HR approval and official transcripts. You need to haveBasic Life Support (BLS)orCPR certificationthat includes both classroom and hands-on training. You must earn yourCertified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT)credential from theNational Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)before your temporary permit expires. If you received your CRTTafter July 1, , you’ll need tokeep your certification up to dateaccording to NBRC requirements. *RRTs and CRTswill be considered. Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based his/her individual experience, education, and certifications.
