Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience) Industry: Marine / Dock & Shoreline Construction (Residential, Commercial) Location: Troutman, NC Job Overview Lancaster's Custom Dock & Lift Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Troutman, North Carolina. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery-including cranes, excavators, backhoes, and barges-on water-based projects across Lake Norman. From dock tear-outs and dredging to shoreline stabilization and new dock construction, this position offers the opportunity to be hands-on with some of the area's most impressive waterfront builds. Key Responsibilities- Safely operate heavy machinery for dredging, shoreline stabilization, rip rap, and hardscape projects- Perform dock tear-outs and assist with new dock construction- Operate and maintain dredging equipment to improve lakefront access- Assist with crane and barge operations as needed- Remove fallen trees and natural debris from job sites- Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks- Support team members across a variety of construction and site tasks- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional jobsite at all times Qualifications- Boating experience is REQUIRED- Minimum high school diploma or GED- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or marine environments- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation- Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to a safety-first workplace- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team- Comfortable working outdoors in seasonal weather and physically demanding conditions- Ability to perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance Benefits- 401(k) Retirement Savings Program- Paid Time Off (vacation, holidays, sick days)- Bi-weekly pay cycle- Safety equipment provided- Long-term career growth opportunities within a stable, respected company Schedule- Full-Time- Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday work and overtime depending on project needs and weather Work Location- Based in Troutman, NC, serving job sites within a 50-mile radius, including Mooresville, Statesville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Sherrills Ford, and Denver, NC Equal Employment Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
