Survey Party Chief - Public Infrastructure Projects

The OpportunityJoin one of the region’s most respected civil engineering and surveying firms as a Survey Party Chief. You’ll lead field crews on high-profile transportation and infrastructure projects for clients like NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, Garden State Parkway, and NYC public agencies.We’re looking for an experienced leader who can run a crew independently, coordinate with project managers, and ensure surveys are accurate, on time, and up to DOT/public agency standards.What You’ll DoLead field survey crews for highway, right-of-way, ALTA, and construction stakeout projects.Operate and maintain surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS, scanners) and ensure all data is properly terpret project plans and specifications in the field.Work closely with office staff and project managers to ensure deliverables meet client and DOT standards.Mentor and train junior crew members.What We’re Looking For5+ years of land surveying field experience, with at least 2+ years as a Party Chief.Strong background in transportation and right-of-way survey projects (NJDOT or NYC public agency work a plus).Proficiency with Leica, Trimble, or Topcon equipment.Ability to work independently in the field and manage daily schedules.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Why Join Us?Work on impactful public infrastructure projects that shape the petitive pay with overtime opportunities.Stable, growing firm with a strong backlog of work.Supportive environment that invests in equipment, training, and your career growth.Apply TodayIf you’re an experienced Survey Party Chief who takes pride in accurate, high-quality fieldwork, we want to hear from you.
